Established in 2012 by saferay Holding, a German solar PV investor and EPC asset manager, SRA Solar has built over 800 MW of solar projects and currently manages 350 MW in Germany, Chile, and Japan. In 2020, the company spun off as a standalone entity, rebranding to SRA Solar as part of its continued expansion into new markets.

Our Leadership
Fausto González-Taveras
Managing Director of Finance and Business Development / Founding Partner
CFO and Managing Director of Finance and Development at SRA Solar, with previous experience as Director of Development and Financing at saferay Holding, overseeing PV solar projects totaling over 220 MWp in Japan and Spain. Formerly a VP at Goldman Sachs, specializing in commodities structuring and investment banking for energy, industrials, and aviation.
Jose Lisardo
Managing Director of Technology and Construction / Founding Partner
With over 15 years in Solar Energy, Jose was VP at Phoenix Solar, where he led engineering, vendor qualification, and new technology integration. He also served as Head of Engineering at juwi, managing engineering responsibilities across Southeast Asia, including team and budget oversight.
Steffen Studeny
Managing Director/ Founding Partner
Executive Chairman of WQ Inc. and former CEO of Saferay K.K., leading over 200 MW in project development, construction, and finance. Previously, Steffen served as CEO of Q Cells Japan K.K., spearheading the entry of the first non-Japanese module brand into the Japanese market.
Isaki Morimoto
Managing Director of Japan Operations / Founding Partner
With more than 12 years in the Japan PV market, Isaki has held project management roles at saferay Construction, working on over 100 MWp of flagship projects. He now leads development and EPC efforts in Japan for SRA Solar as head of the Tokyo office and representative director for SRA’s Japanese entities.
Victor Sanchez
Director of Business Development
Victor drives SRA Solar’s expansion in the EU and has previously served as Country Manager in Japan and Business Development Manager in the EU and Latam for an EPC company. His experience spans the UK and Latam PV markets, with a background in consultancy, oil and gas, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Shin Morimoto
Director of Project Development Japan
With over 20 years in Japan’s PV market, Shin played a key role in launching saferay Japan in 2012. He now leads development initiatives and stakeholder management for SRA Solar. Previously, he founded Copia Energy, which focused on early PV procurement and development in Japan’s pre-subsidy era.
